Neuro Soc
NeuroSoc has been built to allow students a gateway to gain more understanding and experience in neurology. We aim to help students have an easy access to conferences and other opportunities and provide help via revision events and more!
As a society we aim to provide:
- Focused year group-specific revision lectures and tutorials to help grasp neurology better, including:
- 1st years: peripheral neuroanatomy (e.g. brachial plexus, dermatomes, myotomes)
- 2nd years: comprehensive stroke teaching with applied neuroanatomy
- 3rd years: neurology and neuroanatomy
- 4th years: paediatric neurology
- Biweekly SBAs and ‘localise the lesion’ puzzles
- Talks for all years, providing members with an insight as to what a career in neurology would entail
- Organize mock OSCE’s examination to improve students' understanding of clinical neuroscience
- Offer advice and guidance on interests, career goals and academic and clinical skills.
