We are a recently formed affiliated society at UEA working as subbranch of YoungAcademics (YA). YA is a medical student & junior doctor run multi university platform whose aim is to make it easier for medical students to get involved in research.
YoungAcademics UEA society will endeavour to locally source and offer research projects to UEA medical students, with complete transparency regarding what is expected and required. You will be able to apply for projects in your clinical speciality of interest which meet your expectations and current research experience (whether that’s a lot or not much at all).
We will also be running educational events focusing on skills crucial for research projects (e.g. designing posters, presentations, information governance etc.). Alongside this, there will be journal clubs to enable students to practice presenting their work or research papers to others.
